365 Days of Ikebana-Day 126

The Bradford pear branches are in full color today, so I clipped some on my walk today. I’ve waited for the leaves to turn, and the cold weather earlier in the week helped speed that process along. The arrangement is done in two containers, both designs relate to each other to form one arrangement. I removed lots of leaves to show the branch structure, as is necessary to do selective pruning to show the beauty of the branch and individual leaves and give it a clean look. I saw a lots of lovely materials on my walk, and gathered some for a few days worth of designs. The piece today conveys the season in a peaceful way, and I am reminded that the trees will soon be bare. In another week it will be time to begin winter designs, so I need to work with there beautiful materials while they are still here.
