365 Days of Ikebana-Day 178

Today I spent some time in the studio, trying to take advantage of the daylight and temperatures above freezing. The space heater helps some, and I hope to be able to get out there a lot in the next few weeks. For the arrangement I did today I used some branches of pussy willow, pink confetti statice and white tulips, and two kenzans in the black suiban. No particular style, it’s more of a mix of basic and freestyle. Mostly I wanted to do something springy with a bit of movement. It’s time to get back to sketching out ideas and trying to do some exciting work and see what I can do. I’m gathering ideas and some concepts that inspire me. In the mail today I received my membership card for the Sogetsu Teachers Association, it’s a great motivator for me to keep trying to improve and grow.
