Today I had the pleasure of presenting a hana dome demonstration and workshop for the Ikebana International Alexandria Workshop. After demonstrating three arrangements I worked with the 20 workshop participants learing how to build their own hana dome or flower fixtures with branches and wire. I thought everyone enjoyed the workshop, and I hope they take some inspiration from what they learned and make some pieces on their own. Watching other people do hana dome for the first time helps me learn to teach it more effectively and I gather new ideas as well. Teaching a workshop and learning from it in the process is a big reward!
