A tea bowl is filled with colored and dried materials, I chose to use the colors in the same tonal range as the bowl. White colored kiwi vine, two shades of blue-green dried hydrangea and a dried sunflower. While I love fresh sunflowers I have really grown to love the dried ones so much more. Perhaps it is the texture or color that I admire so much, it always has a gentle subdued quality when dried. I’m making a mental note to grow lots of sunflowers next summer to dry!
