The rose in this arrangment was the inspiration today, the variety name is “Amnesia” and it’s considered a lavender novelty rose. The outer petals are seemingly gray, and that’s where the other materials come in. A piece of sun bleached date palm and a dried sunflower seed head, both of which have a lovely gray tone to them, set off the lavender in the rose and and intensifies it. I find it interesting that my color palatte has been all over the place in the last few days, primarily since had had thought I would do mostly fall tones until the begining of December. Right now I’m taking inspiration however it comes my way.

The bleached date palm is amazing. It looks like flying hair.
It does, and I have days when my hair looks like that too!
