The last rose of the year from the garden, hard to believe that it’s possible this late in December. One of my new containers is a mid century Russell Wright piece (given to me by Frederick and his mother Phyllis), I believe it is a vegetable bowl, and I thought I should use it today. I added bits of cedar and ilex and a great piece of driftwood that Frederick found for me. For a bits and pieces arrangement it’s not bad. I’ve been thinking about how I want to work a bit harder in the coming year at more creative work. This time of year is when everyone starts to reflect on what they have achieved in the year that is almost at an end, then the setting of goals and resolutions for the next year begins to begin. I’m no different and in the next few days I’ll be working hard on my list for 2012, I hope you will be too.

It’s been a great year in many ways. I’ve also been thinking lately about where to go from here. I’m glad there are still many days and many arrangements left of your 365 days. Getting from wanting to create something to actually getting materials and get started is still a big step to me. Guess I need to do change this for a start.
It’s a great time to really make a list of what you want to do, not only for the next year but to also do a five year plan. It helps to think about but not limit things to a year, then you see how smaller things can add up toward a long term goal.
