365 Days of Ikebana-Day 224

This is the view during my Saga ikebana class today, we were all working on seaside landscapes with pine and sand. It was interesting to work on moribana/landscape designs although a bit difficult to wrap my head around the connection between both at the same time. But it was a great class, reminding me how much more I have to learn. Below is the final result from class (with a few alstromeria added):

I didn’t quite appreciate the wild look of the pine, maybe it was just too bushy for me. I felt the need to trim the landscape and bit and see if that appealed to me more. It does, but it also loses the natural feel too. Mayabe I need to find some balance in between the two. These landscapes are the most difficult for me to do, I just have to practice it again and again.
