365 Days of Ikebana-Day 84

This morimono is from my Saga Goryu Ikebana class today. The morimono in Saga is largely landscape based and are meant to convey scenes around bodies of water. Fall flowers, persimmons, asters, sumac and others are used to create this arrangement. It’s not bad, but still a little too clumpy and bulky for the container. Since I have been studying this school for a short time I still lack the delicate hand and eye needed to make a truly great Saga design, however my Sensei Bruce Wilson does some wonderful work (as seen below).
