A simple inoribana today, using flowers from the garden. The yellow narcissus are in full bloom and have lovely leaves to use. Soon the other varieties of narcissus will be in bloom too. Lovely blooming branches are appearing all around the neighborhood. I think spring is here at last!

Ah! What peacefulness. I really would love to learn more about inoribana. Are there any books I should read? Unfortunately I don’t think there is anyone locally that could teach me.
There aren’t any books specifically about inoribana tha I know of, although I have been looking. Most Saga books are written in Japanese, but Joan Stamm has a great book titled “Heaven and Earth are Flowers” which does have some inoribana photos as well as other Saga ikebana photos. It’s mostly about her journey with ikebana.
