Today the exhibition “Art Blooms!” opens at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, floral art interpretations of selected artists work from two shows in the gallery. I chose a woodcut by the incredibly talented Midway Bee entitled “Biocide” partially because I love woodcuts, but more for the story behind the work. It’s a magnificent piece! Please take a moment to read more about Steven Munoz’s work in his artist statement. Our floral interpretations are on view thru Sunday, but the show “On Paper: Printmaking, Book Arts & Beyond” continues until September 26th. The other show “Shine: catching the light” is up until August 29th. Don’t miss them!
