365 Days of Ikebana-Day 166

This small tropical ikebana was done this evening, I know the large leaf is selloum philodendron but I have no idea what the bloom is. For the next few days I’ll be working with some more tropical materials, perhaps some leaf arrangements. If you haven’t guessed, I am away again and using gathered materials. I also have to spend some time gathering some vases or containers to use! It’s great to see what I can find and what I can do with it. No set plan for an arrangement, I gather and make what I have work. For me it helps to challenge myself this way and having only a few options with materials makes it easier I think. Too many materials leads to too many directions that I can go in and that can really hinder my decision making.
